Christmas party photo booth ideas in Coventry
Every Christmas do has the same moment. People arrive, grab a drink, find the two colleagues they already talk to and stay put. A photo booth gives the room something to do together that isn’t queuing at the bar, and everyone goes home with something to show for the night.
We’re Snazzy Photo Booths, based on Hay Lane in Coventry. We bring a Selfie Pod and a slow-motion 360 Booth to parties across Coventry and the surrounding towns. Here are the ideas we’d suggest if you’re planning a work or family Christmas party this year.
1. Put your logo on every photo
For a work party, this is the easy win. We design a custom overlay for every booking, so your company name, logo and the date of the party sit on every photo and clip. It turns a fun extra into something your marketing or internal comms team can use afterwards. You get the full gallery the next day.
If you plan to use the photos publicly, it’s worth adding a short consent line to your party invite so guests know.
2. Make the prints your party favour
The Selfie Pod is digital as standard: guests scan a QR code and the photo is on their phone. Add the unlimited 6×4 prints and every visit also gives them a print to take home. At Christmas, that print often does the job of a party favour, and it tends to end up on a fridge or a desk in January. If you want something festive on the print itself, tell us your colours and theme and we’ll build them into the design.
3. Go big on festive props
We bring a props box to every booking. For Christmas, it’s worth adding a few extras of your own: Santa hats, tinsel, light-up jumpers, a “Naughty list” sign. A themed dress code (Christmas jumpers, black tie, a decade) gives people a reason to queue for the booth before they’ve even had a drink.
4. Open the booth as people arrive
The first half hour of any party is the awkward bit. With the booth open from arrivals, early guests have somewhere to go while the room fills up, and it breaks the ice between teams who don’t usually mix. We set up before your guests arrive, so nothing happens in front of them.
5. Save the 360 Booth for after the speeches
The 360 Booth is a raised platform with a camera that circles round whoever’s standing on it, then turns out a slow-motion clip they can save to their phone. It’s at its best once the formal bit is over and the music starts. Up to five people can go on at once, so whole teams pile on together, and everyone else gathers round to watch.
6. Get the team photo you never manage to get
Most teams never have a photo of everyone together. Ask your team leads to bring their people over at a set point in the night, and you’ll leave with a photo of every department. It’s a nice one to share in the new year.
7. Don’t forget the family party
Not every Christmas party is a work do. Family get-togethers, club socials and charity Christmas nights work just as well. The screen prompts guests through it step by step, and you can have a free attendant on the Selfie Pod if you’d like one, so it works for the kids and the grandparents alike.
Which booth suits your Christmas party?
- Selfie Pod: best if you want printed keepsakes, branded photos, or a booth that fits a smaller room. It needs about 2m x 2m.
- 360 Booth: best if you want a dance-floor moment and clips people will post that night. It needs roughly 3m x 3m, plus a bit of head height and room for people to gather round.
- Both: for a bigger party, many hosts put the pod near the bar and the 360 by the dance floor. Combined bookings are priced on request.

Where to hold it: a few Coventry ideas
If you haven’t booked a venue yet, these are some of the places in and around Coventry advertising Christmas party nights for 2026. We’re not partnered with any of them; they’re just ideas to start your search.
- The Telegraph Hotel, city centre: joiner party nights, plus a private suite for Christmas parties. (telegraph-hotel.com)
- St Mary’s Guildhall, city centre: festive party nights in one of Coventry’s historic buildings. (stmarysguildhall.co.uk)
- Windmill Village Hotel, Allesley: shared festive party nights and private party options. (windmillvillagehotel.co.uk)
- Coventry Building Society Arena, Longford: private Christmas party nights. (coventrybuildingsocietyarena.co.uk)
One tip: on a shared “joiner” night, other parties will be in the same room, so ask the venue before booking any extras. A photo booth usually works best at a private party, whether that’s a private suite, your own office or a hired space.
For context, we’ve brought the Selfie Pod and the 360 Booth to charity events at Dhillon’s Brewery in Coventry, the Selfie Pod (with prints) to an 18th at Ivy House in Coventry, the Selfie Pod to a 60th at Broadstreet RFC in Coventry, and the 360 Booth to a 40th at The Clarence in Hinckley. Read about the night at The Clarence.
The practical bits
- Space: about 2m x 2m for the Selfie Pod, roughly 3m x 3m for the 360 Booth.
- Power and floor: one standard plug socket within a few metres, and a flat floor.
- Timings: we arrive about 30 minutes early. Setup and pack-down happen outside your hire time, so a three-hour booking is three hours of booth.
- Paperwork: public liability insurance and PAT certificates are available if your venue asks for them.
- Travel: no travel charge within 30 miles of Coventry, which covers Leamington Spa, Rugby, Nuneaton and Hinckley.
What it costs
The Selfie Pod starts from £200 digital, or £375 with unlimited prints. The 360 Booth starts from £300 for three hours. That includes setup, pack-down, props, a custom overlay and travel within 30 miles. The 360 comes with an attendant all evening, and on the Selfie Pod one is optional and free. FAQ
How far in advance should we book a Christmas party photo booth?
As early as you can, especially for a Friday or Saturday in December. Send us the date and venue and we’ll tell you the same day whether it’s free.
Can you put our company logo on the photos?
Yes. Every booking includes a custom overlay with your logo, event name and date on every photo and clip.
Do guests get printed photos?
With the Selfie Pod, yes, if you add the unlimited 6×4 prints. It’s digital as standard, with photos sent to guests’ phones by QR code. The 360 Booth makes video clips, so it doesn’t print.
Will our venue allow a photo booth?
Most do, but it’s worth checking. We can provide public liability insurance and PAT certificates, and we’re happy to check space and power with the venue for you.
How long should we book for?
Most parties book three hours, from arrivals through to the middle of the night. Setup and pack-down sit outside that time.
